The ‘NOW’ Workshop: Naming and Owning Whiteness, will explore the pressing call to action for white people to own their collective history of oppression and do their part in deconstructing the racial caste system. This workshop is for those who already understand they have white privilege but want to delve into a deeper exploration of how to use that privilege to advance racial equity. We will share in this experience of introspection and self-healing so that we are more effective doing the work of activism and helping heal the collective consciousness.
This workshop will use mindful dialogue and healing tools to:
- Move past white guilt
- Go from an unwilling agent of institutional racism to a white ally/accomplice
- Commit to engage with your whiteness
- Transform habit energies of white dominance
- Move towards healing
